short month, three real things, one of which is a math fix that's worth knowing about.
here's the 60 second recap:
sync your 212 pies from the dashboard ๐
if your pies are drifting from what Amal expects, you can now hit a manual sync button right from the dashboard instead of waiting for the next cron tick. faster feedback loop when you change a filter.
dividend reinvestment: double-counting fix ๐๐ซ
an internal bug worth being honest about. when accumulating dividends across portfolios, the reinvestment job was being queued with the total already including accumulated dividends, then adding accumulated dividends again. result: a handful of reinvestment jobs ran with inflated amounts. fixed, plus we hardened the worker so:
- a queue failure no longer "loses" dividends (they get re-accumulated and retried)
- insufficient cash also gets re-accumulated, not silently dropped
- division-by-zero on malformed dividend data now warns and skips instead of crashing
- remaining-dividend distribution properly checks the min-order-size threshold
if your reinvested amounts ever looked too high vs the dividends you actually received, this was probably why.
BDS tech targets updated ๐ฎ๐ฑ
added 7 more tickers (including ORCL by popular request) to the BDS tech filter โ sourced from the BDS movement's No-Tech-for-Apartheid campaign. applied across both the main app and the Trading 212 filter dialog.
quiet on the surface, important under it. on to February.
Best, Yazin
